ALEA
Poliform R&D (2003)
The primary form. Rigorous design for a new definition of the kitchen environment. A project by Paolo Piva with a “minimal” formal connotation: to reduce every functional unit to pure design, with an essential shape, maintaining a very high operational capacity. The aesthetic conception of Alea is linked to the strong thickness that identifies each composition, each element, and that from time to time becomes a border, frame, structure. The containers, the worktops, the wall or island operating areas become real geometric “solids”, surfaces that enhance the individual materials.
